I am a tech savvy agent and have compiled a few reasons that QR code for realtors should be used. Make sure the Realtor you choose is tech savvy and is on top ofvthe latest technology. If you have not heard of a QR code, QR stands for Quick Reference Code and is a cool looking bar code. Here is how you can use them in the real estate business. Put the QR Code on your website. The code will link to your profile, your listings, and office. Anyone with a QR code reader can be sitting in front of their computer, scan the code and be directed to your bio info. Add the code to your flyers that you are distributing or the advertisements you are running. You can embed the code with a Youtube video and then direct them to your YouTube channel where they can get pictures or even a video of the property. Put your QR code on your real estate sign, it is relatively easy or you can order a sign from a QR code sign company or even by your local sign maker. The upside to having a QR code on your sign is that they decrease the number of phone calls you receive. Anybody with a smart phone that is interested in the home you are listing can simply download a QR reader and then scan the code and pops up all the information on the home. There are many services out there that will provide a QR code for you, and any company that will provide you the code embedded in the sign should also provide a mobile optimized website that is easily readable on a mobile device. Put the same QR code on your business cards. This one is a no brainer. You can embed the code with whatever information you want a potential client to know about you. If you are a real estate agent and you aren't using a QR code then I believe you aren't taking advantage of all the useful tools available to you in this current social media and tech savvy world. You need a competitive edge in this market and you need to be able to go to a listing appointment and show a potential client you are using every resource available to market their home.

Open Houses help get Buyers In
|
When selling your home, open houses are a great way to let as many prospective buyers as possible see your home during a several hour period. They have long been used to promote a property for sale, even though few homes are actually sold off of an open house. With more homes on the ma-rket in some areas, there are many open houses each weekend and only a limited amount of time for buyers to check them out. Homeowners can use the following open house ideas to draw more prospective buyers. Get the Word Out
In preparation of the open house, homeowners need to publicize the open house to as many potential buyers as possible. While postcards and newspaper ads are still advertising standbys, many buyers search for open houses on-line. Using free websites such as Craigslist, Facebook and Twitter is an effective way to reach potential open house visitors. In addition, use many signs off major streets and throughout the neighborhood to point buyers towards the house on the day of the open house. Break From Tradition
Traditionally, open houses occur during weekend afternoons and last for about two hours. Many serious buyers will drive by properties they are interested in on their way to or from work or during their lunch hour. To capture busy potential buyers, homeowners can hold open houses after work or during lunchtime on weekdays. Some agents schedule their open houses for a three to four hour window during the weekend to accommodate potential home buyers. Offer Something Unique
Prospective buyers may be more likely to remember your home if they can have a unique experience or take something with them from the open house. Give potential buyers a color brochure of the property, along with neighborhood and school information to accentuate the home. Moreover, providing mortgage information from a lender can show financing options and payment estimates. Refreshments, including easy to eat snacks and cold beverages, are also a great way to make open house visitors feel comfortable and remember your home. A few word about Me.............
